Supper is over and everyone is retiring for the night. I fried chicken and made mac and cheese to go with it for our supper tonight. Now it’s time to call it a day. I washed laundry this morning and it’s all folded and put away. Daughters Verena, Loretta, and Lovina came this afternoon for a while. We had snacks and visited and of course enjoyed the sweet little ones.

Lovina Writes About Her Birthday, A Neighbor’s Auction and Rhubarb Season
It is such a lovely morning. I love mornings like this. Son Kevin is still sleeping and the rest have left for work. I think everyone needs a little “Me time”. Do we take enough time out of our busy schedules to read God’s word and thank him for his many blessings he bestows upon us? I paid some bills and have them ready for Kevin to drive out to the mailbox later on when he’s awake.
Lovina Enjoys Warm Windy Days for Laundry and the Garden is Planted
It is a warm windy day with temperature at 82 degrees although it feels warmer in the sun. I just brought in the rest of the laundry off the lines. It was a challenge hanging bed blankets and sheets up but once again the Polygrip clothes pins really helped. Daughter Loretta and her three little ones came over for a while. She said the boys wouldn’t quit begging to come over so she decided to bring them here awhile
Lovina Writes About Church Services, Weddings, Birthdays and Mother’s Day
Our refrigerator keeps filling up with more wedding invitations. We are sorry we aren’t able to attend all of them. Belated congratulations go to niece Anna and Joseph. They were married April 2nd in Clare, Michigan. Anna is the daughter of Joe’s sister Christine and Jake. We wish them God’s blessings as they start their life together as one.
Lovina Shares a Glimpse Into the Communion Service the Eicher’s are Hosting
Today is Easter Sunday. Jesus is risen! His life, death, and resurrection paid for our sins. Last Sunday our church had a council meeting at our neighbor’s. Next Sunday we will host communion services here. In between the two churches we have Fast and Prayer Day. Son Kevin went home with son Joseph and Grace last night, so he won’t be home until tonight.
Lovina’s Eight-Year-Old Granddaughter Jennifer Pens the Column
Hi, I am Jennifer Susan and I am eight years old. I like to read and write and hold my baby sister Sharlene. She likes when I feed her corn pops. Sometimes I rock her to sleep and sometimes I play with her. I have two sisters and four brothers. My sister Kaitlyn and I sleep in the same room.
Verena Writes Lovina’s Column This Week, Helping Busy Mom
Hello readers! This is Lovina’s daughter Verena writing once again. Mom has been extra busy preparing for church services, so I decided to help her out by writing the column and give her an extra week of not having to worry about writing. When she has to, she does a very good job to sit down and write when she is very busy and has many other things to do.
Winter Cold Continues as Lovina Starts to Prepare for Upcoming Church Services
Our ground is covered again with snow so even though the calendar tells us Spring begins on Friday, we will be patient and wait. I’m sure a lot of you readers are having much more. Hopefully you are all safe and warm.
Lovina Has Special Times to Spoil Grandchildren and Share Family Meals
It is Monday afternoon and what a lovely March Day it is! The temperature is almost 70 degrees. The sun is shining but it’s windy. I have clothes hanging on the lines which was a little bit challenging to hang up, especially bed sheets and blankets.
Lovina Spends a Special Day with Her Daughters and Enjoys Meals with Family
On Wednesday all five of my daughters spent the day here. It had been a while since we all were together for a day. Elizabeth has three children in school and Susan has five children in school. That fills up their schedules with dentist and doctor appointments. I remember those days very well.
