4:30 a.m. Our alarm rings to awaken us for another day. Another day God granted to us. Are we thankful enough for his many blessings he sends?
I pack my husband Joe’s lunch with last night’s leftovers of vegetable soup and fresh ham that was grilled last night. I also put an apple and cookies in and fill a thermos with coffee. I fill his water jug with ice and water.
It is a nice sunny January morning with the temperature at 30 degrees. My husband Joe, son Benjamin, and son-in-law Daniel Ray all left for work early this morning for work. For Benjamin and Daniel Ray it was the first time after a two-week break for the holidays. Joe was only off Thursday and Friday for the New Year’s Day holidays.
Christmas 2025 will be here in a few days already! This year our family will gather on Christmas Day. What a joy it is to me when we can be with our loved ones. Let us remember the reason for the season. Our Savior Jesus Christ was born.
It’s Thursday morning. Daniel just left for work at 3:45. I feel so lucky that I get to stay home where it’s cozy while he goes out to work and provides for us. It’s 6 am now and I just got done feeding Brooklyn and rocking her back to sleep. I made a pot of coffee and let our house dog ‘Red’ outside. We live in Dustin and Loretta’s pole barn until we are able to get a place of our own.
Sister-in-law Nancy’s 62nd birthday is on April 23. Brother Amos passed away suddenly six years ago, leaving Nancy a widow. May you have a wonderful birthday, Nancy!
